I am a native to Central Virginia and graduate of Heritage High School in Lynchburg, Virginia.  I worked in sales and business supervision before going back to school to pursue a career in education.  I hold a BS in History and a MAT in Teaching from Liberty University and will finish my educational leadership endorsement in the Summer of 2021 from Longwood University.  My career in education started as a desire to put children first.  My journey to becoming an educator became a reality in 2014 when I became a history teacher at Altavista Combined School.  During the Summer of 2020, I shifted to my current position with the CCPS technology team as an Instructional Technology Specialist. I am excited that my current position allows me to help other educators continue to put students first.
